Who’s responsible?
JochenLabs operates this website. For privacy requests, contact the operator through the official JochenLabs social channels linked in the footer.
Email updates
If you subscribe, we store your normalized email address, subscription status, consent version and relevant dates. We use your address only for JochenLabs updates after you confirm your subscription. We never sell your address. Our email delivery provider processes your address to send confirmation and update emails.
You’re in control
Every confirmation and future newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can request access, correction or deletion of your information through the contact channels above. Unconfirmed subscriptions expire after 24 hours; expired and unsubscribed records can be removed by the retention task. Confirmed addresses are retained until you unsubscribe.
Games and leaderboards
When you play, we store an anonymous player identifier, your chosen display name, game session times and scores. Display names and best scores are public on leaderboards. Avoid using your real name or personal information. Your browser stores a randomly generated player ID in localStorage and sends it with likes and supported game submissions. A game cookie also supports existing sessions. No account or personal details are required.
Project likes
We store your anonymous player ID and the projects you like to count one vote per browser and project. Only totals are public. Likes are retained until deletion is requested. Clearing browser storage resets your ID; it does not remove votes or scores already saved.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions across the website and its games. The Google tag sends usage information to Google and may store analytics cookies in your browser. We do not send your anonymous game and voting ID or your newsletter email address to Google Analytics.
Cookies and abuse protection
We use necessary cookies for game sessions and administrator login, as well as the analytics described above. To limit automated abuse, we temporarily store a keyed hash of your network address. We do not store your raw address in the application database. Hosting and email providers may keep operational logs under their own policies.
Retention and your rights
Game sessions and rate-limit records are removed after their useful lifetime. Anonymous scores are retained for leaderboards until deletion is requested. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, erase, correct or transfer your data, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority.
